EVANSVILLE INITIATIVE
FEBRUARY 23, 2007

In attendance: Janis Ringhand, Georgia Duerst-Lahti, Heidi Carvin. Also: Alderman Fred Juergens, Mayor Sandy Decker, Roger Berg.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m.
Agenda item number four was withdrawn.
Roger Berg proposed purchase of two pond aeration windmills for Prairie Crossing ponds. Location would provide high visibility for small wind project. The Committee suggested that application be submitted for WPPI renewable energy customer incentive. Committee will consider assistance for the difference between the cost of wind systems and conventional electrical aeration systems, after WPPI acts on application.
WPPI incentive program materials were distributed to committee members.
It was explained that minutes were not available for origins of public benefits committee in October 2003. The committee will be reconstituted this spring with committee appointments and terms.
Thursday, April 5 at 7:30 a.m. is the next scheduled meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
