MINUTES

Call to order. Tony Wyse called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Present: Chair Tony Wyse, Roger Berg, Fred Juergens. New Members: Julie Meredith and Matthias James. Also present: Dan Wietecha, Bridgit Larsen and Sandy Decker.

Agenda approved.

Approve minutes of May meeting. Berg moved, seconded by Juergens. Motion approved unanimously.

Secretary position. Julie Meredith agreed to take the position of Committee Secretary.

Citizen appearances. None.

Chamber of Commerce report. Welcome packages will be assembled for new businesses as well as new residents to Evansville. Discussion regarding getting addresses of new businesses and residents.

City Administrator report. Nothing to report at this time.

City Website. Webcam not working; is being repaired or replaced by manufacturer. 4th of July schedule is on the website.

Young professionals group. Identify individuals by Chamber survey of businesses in the community.

Additional brick streetscaping. City did not receive grant; bricks will end at Maple Street

Reconstruction Task Force. Maple Street is torn up because of need to replace water main from East Main to Church Street; project is about two weeks behind schedule. Discussion of possible end of construction celebration and holiday marketing.

Economic Development Strategy/Summit. Consultant Judy Whalen will facilitate focus groups for different industry groups in Evansville.

Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund. Drafts distributed at last meeting. Copies will be mailed to new members. In depth review of revised policies at July meeting.
