MINUTES

Call to Order. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chair Tom Cothard.

Roll Call. Present: Chair Cothard and Alderpersons Mason Braunschweig and Diane Roberts. Also present: Mayor Sandy Decker, Alderperson Barb Jacobson, Eric Jepperson, Dan Wietecha, and Dick Woulfe.

Approve Agenda. Braunschwieg moved, seconded by Roberts, to approve the agenda. Motion passed unanimously.

Minutes of May 7, 2007 Meeting. Braunschweig moved, seconded by Roberts, to defer approval of the minutes to the next regular meeting. Motion approved unanimously.

Citizen Appearances. None.

Discussion on Reorganization of City Offices. Wietecha noted that the Common Council had the concept of reorganizing the city offices to align all the financial functions under a single department head. Wietecha gave an overview of the memo, organization chart and job descriptions in the committee’s packet. It was noted that several of positions in the city office have duties related to updating the city website; updates will be better implemented as city staff adjusts to the office move, new website and reorganization.

Braunschweig made a motion, seconded by Cothard, to approve the City Clerk position description. Motion passed unanimously.

Braunschweig made a motion, seconded by Cothard, to approve the Finance Director/Treasurer position description. Motion passed unanimously.

The committee directed Wietecha to advertise the City Clerk position through the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, Wisconsin City Management Association, Wisconsin Clerk’s list-serve, city website, and Evansville Review.

Adjournment. On a motion by Braunschweig, seconded by Roberts, the meeting adjourned at 6:20 pm.
