City Hall, 31 S. Madison Street, Evansville, WI

MINUTES

Mayor Decker called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. Present were: Mayor Decker and Alderpersons Roberts, Hammann, Cothard, Juergens, Wyse, Sornson, Wessels and Braunschweig. Staff present: Mark Kopp, City Attorney, and Jim Beilke, Clerk/Treasurer.

This special meeting was called so that the Common Council could review the applications for the city administrator position.

Approval of Agenda
Motion by Juergens, seconded by Roberts, to approve the agenda after withdrawing agenda items 6, Pre-annexation agreement, and 8, Madison Metro Bus Service. Motion carried.

Minutes
Motion Roberts, seconded by Braunschweig, to defer the reading and approval of the October 10, 2006, minutes until the next regular Common Council meeting on November 14, 2006. Motion passed.

Citizen appearances - None

Finance and Labor Relations Committee Report
Stephen Hintz from Public Administration Associates (PAA) led the discussion regarding the interviewing process for city administrator.

Introduction of New Ordinances
Ald. Cothard read the first reading of Ordinance #2006-40, adopting 2007 City Operating and Capital Budgets and Tax Levies.

Closed Session
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Roberts, to convene in closed session pursuant to Sec. 19.85(1)(c), Wis. Stats., considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governing body has jurisdiction or authority, and will not reconvene in open session. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.

Adjournment
Motion by Braunschweig, seconded by Roberts, to adjourn the meeting at 8:17 PM. Motion Carried.
