MINUTES
Mayor Decker called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Present were: Mayor Decker and Alderpersons Braunschweig, Cothard, Roberts, Hammann, Sornson, Juergens, Wyse, and Wessels. Ald Roberts arrived at 6:15 PM. Staff present: Mark Kopp City Attorney; Bill Connors, City Administrator; and Jim Beilke, Clerk/Treasurer.
Motion by Hammann, seconded by Cothard, to rescind the motion to approve the Mayoral appointment of Chris Eager for a five-year term to the Redevelopment Authority. Motion passed.
Motion by Wessels, seconded by Juergens, to waive the seven-day notice on aldermanic and citizen appointments. Motion passed.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Wessels, to reconsider Common Council Action on the motion to appoint Alderpersons Hammann and Roberts to Plan Commission, which Ald. Cothard voted on the prevailing side. Motion passed unanimously on a roll call vote.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Wessels, to divide the question regarding the appointment of Alderpersons Hammann and Roberts to the Plan Commission. Motion passed.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Wessels, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Ald. Hammann to the Plan Commission. Motion passed.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Wessels, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Ald. Roberts to the Plan Commission. Motion failed.
Mayoral Appointments of Alderpersons
Mayor Decker removed from the agenda the Mayoral appointment of Ald. Wyse to the Plan Commission.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Hammann, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Ald. Braunschweig to the Plan Commission. Motion passed.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Sornson, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Ald. Wessels to the Evansville Fire Protection District. Motion passed.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Sornson, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Ald. Roberts to the Evansville Fire Protection District. Motion passed.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Braunschweig, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Ald. Juergens as an alternate to the Evansville Fire Protection District. Motion passed.
Motion by Cothard, seconded by Roberts, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Ald. Sornson as an alternate to the Evansville Fire Protection District. Motion passed.
Mayoral Appointments of Citizens
Mayor Decker removed from the agenda the Mayoral appointment of Mary Beth Anderson to the Dean Community Center Advisory Board for a three-year term.
Motion by Hammann, seconded by Juergens, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Sandy Konkel to the Dean Community Center Advisory Board for a three-year term. Motion passed.
Motion by Hammann, seconded by Wessels, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Diana Eager to the Library Board for a three-year term. Motion passed.
Motion by Hammann, seconded by Wessels, to approve the Mayoral appointment of Chris Eager to the Redevelopment Authority for a five-year term. Motion passed unanimously on a roll call vote.
Communications from the City Administrator. None
Communications from the Mayor. None
Adjournment.
Motion by Wessels, seconded by Hammann, to adjourn the meeting at 6:35 PM. Motion carried.
